Together they conceived the idea of the symphonic poem, and at the same time, in 1830, Liszt began composing his first piano concerto. János Balázs is a winner of the Liszt Prize and the Kossuth Prize, and an associate professor at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Charles Dutoit is a true star; he was a music director in Montreal for 25 years, a principal conductor in Philadelphia, Paris, Tokyo and London. He is unrivalled in performing French music.
