CONDUCTOR
Christoph Eschenbach is an exceptional figure of international music, who has gone from being a pianist to becoming a highly acclaimed conductor. One of the most exciting interpreters of the German repertoire, he is also devoted to nurture young talent. He seeks out those who are "one hundred percent artists“; like Felix Mendelssohn was in his time, who composed his brilliant Double Concerto in D minor at the age of 14 and later published an extended version with woodwinds and timpanis. This evening, our audience will hear this final version. This time, we will hear this rediscovered opus performed by the up-and-coming Hungarian-Egyptian violinist Abouzahra Amira, and pianist Zoltán Fejérvári, who is known for his unique style. The concert will close with the piece that Austrian genius Gustav Mahler debuted with in 1889, his Symphony No.1. In this monumental work entitled A Titan’s Fantasy, the charm of German natural romanticism is forming a harmonious whole with the elegance of contemporary Vienna and the gentle irony of klezmer.
Our offer
The musicians of our orchestra prepare their favorite pieces for the interactive program recommended for 0-3 year-old children. Edit Székely, the mastermind behind the series, is a flute-player and music teacher, who will make the event even more exciting with children’s songs and plays.
